This Privacy Policy explains how ReturnGuard collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the app, including purchases, return reminders, receipts, warranties, email import, Smart Live Tracking, and subscriptions.

1. Who we are
ReturnGuard is a post-purchase organization app that helps users track purchases, return windows, refunds, receipts, warranties, and optional Smart Live Tracking.

2. Information you provide
Depending on how you use ReturnGuard, you may provide or save:
- Purchase details such as merchant name, order number, item names, prices, dates, payment method label, return deadlines, refund status, warranty dates, notes, and household labels.
- Tracking numbers and carrier information.
- Receipts, invoices, return labels, warranty documents, screenshots, photos, OCR text, and other files you choose to add.
- Support messages you send to us.
- Preferences such as app language, theme, notification settings, and connected account status.
3. Email import: Gmail and Outlook
ReturnGuard can connect to Gmail or Outlook only after you authorize access. Email import is used to find order confirmations, receipts, delivery updates, return messages, warranty messages, and refund messages.
- Found purchases are shown for review before they are added to your app data.
- ReturnGuard does not need full payment card details and does not collect your email password.
- OAuth tokens or connection records may be stored in protected backend systems so the app can sync after you connect an account.
- You can disconnect Gmail or Outlook from inside the app.
Email import is optional. You can use ReturnGuard manually without connecting email.
4. Tracking numbers and Smart Live Tracking
You can save tracking numbers with purchases. Saving a tracking number does not by itself require live carrier tracking.
If you enable Smart Live Tracking, ReturnGuard may send the tracking number, carrier information, and a technical tag to 17TRACK so carrier events can be displayed inside the app.
- Free users receive a limited number of Smart Live Tracking credits.
- Pro plans include additional Smart Live Tracking credits.
- Already enabled tracking can be refreshed, but refreshes may be throttled to protect service reliability and usage costs.
- Carrier tracking events may be translated for display in your app language.
5. Translation of tracking events
When tracking events arrive in a carrier language that differs from your app language, ReturnGuard may send the event text to Google Cloud Translation so the event can be shown in your selected language.
We do not send your full order, receipt file, payment details, or account password for translation. The translation request is limited to the tracking event text needed for display.
6. Subscriptions and purchases
ReturnGuard may offer optional subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play. Payments are processed by the app store. We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
We use RevenueCat to help manage subscription status, product identifiers, purchase history, entitlement status, trial eligibility where applicable, and restore purchases.
7. Firebase, analytics, crash reports, and cloud services
ReturnGuard may use Firebase and Google Cloud services, including:
- Firebase Authentication, including anonymous authentication, to keep app data connected to your device/account session.
- Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage to store app data and documents when cloud features are used.
- Cloud Functions / Cloud Run for backend processing such as email import, tracking sync, translation, and account connection flows.
- Firebase Analytics to understand general usage patterns and improve the app.
- Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and reliability issues.
- Firebase Remote Config to control feature availability and configuration.
8. Notifications
ReturnGuard may schedule local reminders on your device for return deadlines, refunds, warranties, and purchase-related tasks. You control notification permissions through the app and your device settings.
9. How we use information
- To provide purchase organization, return reminders, refund tracking, receipt and warranty storage, and tracking features.
- To detect possible purchases from connected email accounts and show them for your review.
- To enable Smart Live Tracking and translated tracking events.
- To process subscription entitlement status and restore purchases.
- To improve app performance, reliability, security, and user experience.
- To respond to support requests.
10. Service providers and data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with service providers only as needed to operate ReturnGuard:
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, data storage, backend functions, analytics, crash reporting, configuration, and translation.
- 17TRACK for Smart Live Tracking when you enable it.
- RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management.
- Apple App Store and Google Play for billing, subscriptions, refunds, and purchase management.
- Google and Microsoft account systems for Gmail / Outlook OAuth connection when you authorize email import.
11. Data retention and deletion
We keep data for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain backup or security records.
- You can delete or archive purchases inside the app.
- You can disconnect Gmail or Outlook inside the app.
- You can clear local app data from the app’s data management tools where available.
- You can request deletion by contacting mindflashapp@gmail.com.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect app data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. International processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own because ReturnGuard relies on cloud infrastructure and service providers that operate globally.
14. Children
ReturnGuard is not intended for children under 13 or for anyone below the minimum age required by local law to use online services without parental consent.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, services, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top shows when the policy was last revised.
